With Nellie Gossan, Michelle Liu, Elissa Hansen,Patrick Blenkarn Paula Viitanen, Nancy Tam, Billy Marchenski, Howard Dai, Maria Escolan, Josh Hite, Elysse Cheadle, Logan Hallwas, Liam Hill-Allan

an extended workshop with performers and designers in a work that performs with other-than/more than human agents. We attempted to “synchronize” and “transport” one location with another. We used a number of strategies ranging from audio recordings to video projection to fabric installations experimenting in trying to create an emotional response in the viewer through “identification” with a non-human element- focusing purely on the movement of objects and materials.

And with dancers Billy Marchenski and Ellissa Hansen where the process of transformation was foregrounded- working with their training in butoh dance we experimented with performers moving into (and out of ) emotional states, relationships and even into objects and animals.
